Thank You
The Highland Animal Relief Team would like to express it's
sincere gratitude to those who make our organization
possible. Without the daily commitment of HART
volunteers, hundreds of animals in HART's catchment area,
will never experience loving care in stable homes.
Volunteering is the most
fundamental act of citizenship and philanthropy in our
society. It is offering personal time, energy and
skills of one's own free will.
It is an extension of being a good neighbour, transforming a
collection of houses into a community, as people become
involved in the improvement of their surroundings, as they
choose to help others. By caring and contributing to
change, volunteers decrease suffering and disparity.
Thank you for volunteering to the Highland Animal Relief
Team. |

Standing ovation please...
...for
the Ontario Rescue community, the unsung heroes of animal
rescue in our province.
With no
government funding/no shelters/no paid employees/no
luxurious AD campaigns...working selflessly, daily
throughout each and every year, in isolation/little peer
validation...to provide support for societies forgotten
ones.
KNOW
better, DO better, go to
www.petfinder.com to find
your 'rescued' lifelong companion.
To Joy,
Gerdys Rescue...your extraordinary efforts to coordinate the
rescue of 150 neglected, injured and abused 'northern' dogs
from St. Agathe, QC, is gratefully acknowledged by HART. You
have our utmost and abiding respect for your outstanding
service to our voiceless others. |

Santa Paws
Bags for a Cause
For
those that have not yet had the pleasure of meeting Erica,
she is a 'Golden Rescue foster-mom-supreme' and has also
recently done fostering for HART.
Erica
and her husband are dog lovers who are active in all things
"dog" in the Ottawa area, in addition to all of the awesome
things they have done to help HART. We have seen her work
her foster magic, nursing 3 large breed HART pups from the
ravages of Parvo virus. Dylan, Shiloh and Ryder have now
found wonderful caring adoptive families of their very own.
Their lives were saved by the patient, devoted and demanding
care provided by Erica and her husband Andrew.
This
year Erica coordinated her first ever Santa Paws Bags for a
Cause gift drive for all of the animals in the care of
Golden Rescue, HART and Newf Friends! Thanks to all of
Erica's amazing work, and with the support of a few key
people including many of her clients, all of the foster and
sanctuary dogs in HARTs care have received special gift bags
under the tree this Christmas!
Way to
go Erica! Info about her project can be seen on the Santa
Paws page on her website
