Before you call us please read the following:

Spay/Neuter?
Our SNIP program is not currently running due to lack of funds. In March 2013 we initiated a fundraising campaign to raise money to be able to reopen the program. We will post information in the local paper, on Facebook and on the website when we are accepting applications.

Cats?
We are a dog rescue. We do not have the resources to intake/rehome cats. We suggest calling a Humane Society outside of the Bancroft area. ie. Peterborough, Belleville, Lakefield

Help with Vet Bills?
We do not have the funds to be able to help people pay their vet bills. Please try and work something out with your local vet or your bank.

Have you lost a dog or cat?

FIRST: HART does not have a shelter or facility that people can bring animals to. Contact the Faraday Municipal Pound to see if someone has brought your pet there. Their phone number is 613-332-2755. Additionally, they post found dogs on their website: www.municipaldogpound.com

SECOND: People often do call us when they find a dog or cat. If you provide us with information we can keep your info on file and contact you if someone has found an animal that matches your pet's description.

THIRD: If you'd like us to post a picture with info about your lost pet, send us an email at info@hartanimalrelief.ca. We will put it on our Facebook page in the hopes that someone has seen or found your pet.

The process to adopt a HART animal ONLY begins once we receive your completed adoption application. Please review our screening process and obtain the application from the Adoption Form page.

Become a Member

HART's membership fee is $25.00/person or $35.00/family.

Membership gives you a voice, in HART's work to support the care of our stray, injured and abandoned "voiceless."

Membership entitles invitation to HART Annual General Meeting, where members can vote to implement by-law changes, for new Directors to the HART Board. Members also receive quarterly newsletter and e-newsletter mailings, keeping them informed to HART's ongoing rescue work.

Be part of the solution to animal welfare. Please support HART with your donations. While Membership Fees are not tax deductible, all other donations will be followed with a tax receipt, by mail.
